Just what exactly is an "Anti-fan"?

As many of you know, fangirls enjoy labeling those who find flaws in their biases as "anti-fans". Which would imply an equal level of dedication and bat-shit crazy, something you will rarely find (not denying their existence). Instead, you'll generally find ravishingly handsome intellectuals with cold, calculating opinions. A couple jabs here and there doesn't mean I want to write death-threats and send poison drinks, it means I have a fucking opinion, and I'm speaking it. But really, the phrase 'anti-fan' is thrown around way too loosely these days. You don't like them? Anti-fan. You don't like their song? Anti-fan. You misspell an ambiguous name incorrectly (lomanization bitches), ANTI-FAN. Of course this entire mentality came into being because if every single critic wasn't an anti-fan, that would mean normal people had reasons to dislike their oppars, which was simply unacceptable. Hence, mind-fucking fangirl logic.

    the thing is that most haters/"antis" are simply delusional members of another fandom, so is there really a difference between anti-fan and fangirl?


    I will agree about the fact that the idea of anti-fan is too loosely used, though. I criticize my favorite groups far more often than I criticize groups that I think are shit, because I see a lot more potential in them.

    im a die hard fucking kamilia, i love my girls for there personalities, and a majority of their songs.

    I have been branded as an anti fan on 2 occasions.
    First time when i said i was suprised that kara kept going on after sunghee left, as she was the main vocalist. Cmon, she was supposed to be the second hyori and well :S we have the rest of the now defunct fin.k.l.
    Second was when i said " in my honest opinion, pretty girl is the worst song i have ever heard in kpop, what happened to the strong girls that i used to know? " Later on when i heard Honey, everything was forgiven.

      I love Pretty Girl. Their first album sounded like Britney-pop.
      By the way, I'm pretty sure Honey was released with Pretty Girl. I remember DSP held a poll for fans to choose which song they wanted promoted (apparently they had that much confidence in the quality of their songs, including 'Yodel'), and Honey won.
