SNSD's MR Taxi

The rehashing queens are back, but this time with a giant fucking pile of shit. Mr. Taxi is an enjoyable song in Japanese and I liked the MV. Mr. Taxi was a nice gift after that piece of shit song known as Hoot. So how did SM fuck Mr. Taxi up? First off, this isn't a fucking music video. "Hey, let's get some concert footage and...yeah...let's do that." The second problem is the song itself. It always sounds terrible trying to match Korean lyrics to a Japanese melody. They tried and they fucking failed.

  1. If they ever translate the song into English, it'd probably begin like "NEW YORK, LONDON, SEOUL TOKYO".

  2. I thought "Kantanni" was both a Japanese and Korean word...
    Meaning: quickly

  3. Why did they put Seoul in front of Tokyo lool .
So koreans won't say that the song is Pro-Japanese? lol
It flows better with the original:
    "Toe-KEE-YO, So-Ool, and London , New York"

I love how they misprounce Tokyo but they pronounce Seoul right.

  4. @3:42 Koreans understand Kantanni but it is MUCH more commonly used in Japan, most Koreans use pali... like pali pali to mean come quickly or hurry up.

LOL at how much they photoshopped her skin to look unnaturally white.

  5. @ 3:55?
    Oh, I never knew that.
I still hear kantanni (adj) and
kantanhagae (adverb) a lot in dramas and everyday talking..

It's ridiculous that people care if one word is more common over another or also used in another country....
koreans/japanese/chinese people share TONS of words.

  7. Kantanni means simply and it's only a Japanese word.

  8. 簡単(かんたん) does mean the same as 간단, 簡単に is Japanese.

And yes, we know that China/Japan/Korea share a lot of vocabulary, but the picture was meant to poke fun at any Koreaboo/Sone who'll go apeshit over a Japanese word being in a song.

  9. FUCK WHY DIDN'T THEY MENTION ANY AFRICAN CITIES? THEY ARE RACIST AGAINST NIGGERS. MAN THEY ARE SO BIASED. THEY BETTER MAKE A BLACK VERSION OF THE SONG AND KINSHASA BETTER BE THE FIRST CITY MENTIONED.

  20. SNSD sucks and I blame S&M Ent.
They put 0 effort into new songs because they already know that the 784767545 brainless fans will buy the albums of their oppas and unnies, regardless of the quality.

  21. who care if the MV suck~ all them sones will be delusional enough to buy everything SM give them.

  24. So their audience is so insecure that they had to put Seoul first in the city list, yet they didn't even try to be equally considerate when they used Korean words in the Japanese version of Mr. Taxi that no Japanese people knew.

    ReplyDelete
  25. "When SNSD comes back to Korea later this year with an album full of songs translated from Japanese, please translate Mr. Taxi."
