[MV Review] Fiestar - Vista


Okay, I only know about Fiestar because some people on Hallyu8 were talking about how they'd be so great and shit even though they had yet to debut. Seeing as Fiestar is like the 30th different girl group that has debuted this summer, I just wrote them off as yet another girl group. It turns out that Fiestar is from LOEN, so they couldn't be terrible, right?

 
So it's some audition or some shit that this girl is going through while everyone else is in a superhero or a villain costume. Then around 1:28 the girl "transforms" and is wearing a red wig and has that clump eyeliner. She just looks ridiculous and I almost clicked out of the video.

Then the actual song started. It wasn't electronic. There was no autotune or dubstep. The listeners could actually hear real voices in the song. I was thinking "what the fuck is going on here?" Then it turns out that most of the members were fairly attractive and a few were pretty hot. I thought that this was going to be great. If you do happen to enjoy the MV, stop at 3:35 and don't watch the rest.

Terrible bridge. Ugh. That's not the end of it. After the bridge, a shitty fucking rap segment comes in. If you can overlook this part of the song, then the song still remains good. I didn't like the bridge, but the rap segment ruined the song for me.

I do think Fiestar has some potential. Just get rid of the rapping and I could call myself a fan. So far, I'd rank them second among the rookie female idol groups that have debuted this year (Hello Venus being number one.) Maybe next time they won't troll with a rap, who knows.

    One of remale rappers in the song remind me of nicki minaj. for some reason she had the same appeal.

      I haven't even got in to verbs that was google translator not that good but I knew the meaning of the words. Wasn't sure on the order and need to know more discriptive words and verbs.

    LOEN likes to make songs and MV's on an old fashioned way...
    (Look at Sunny Hill and IU) ¡Also it has a story! (Stuff that I ♥ from LOEN)
    I think LOEN could be my 2nd or 3rd favorite company...

    Do you seriously think FISTER has hot chicks in the group? The only one that sort of looks cute is the girl with the glasses, but then again she looks like Park Bom so maybe not.

    sounds isn't too great either

    I'm officially a Fiestar stan. They're so cute, especially Jei (dat body). Cheska (chick with glasses who raps in English) is cute too, she looks like a way hotter Chanmi (of 5dorrs), and Linzy (main vocalist) is pwetty and sings well. Plus these broads have great legs, even though they're wearing sneakers.

    Song is catchy and sassy, I liked the rap because Yezi put on a cute 1-2 step performance. I give this debut nine Gangnam Styles out of ten.

    The bridges swing from both bad to awful, and the rap is just flat out bad. Otherwise the song has no glaring flaws beyond that. I

    But really? Fister? Who thought that would be good. Here's hoping they release a song called sister.

      Actually on a second listen, It puts it first few seconds up with a really good swing/early Madnonna-esque foreshadowing, and it just cops out with weak vocals, not bad just rather weak, and lacking the power that the foreshadowing presumes.

      I'd still not listen to it, but if I was held at gunpoint making a choice between this or loss of brain mass, I'd get into it, after accessing it, as my only way of survival.
