Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas, everyone!

This year, as we celebrate the holiday season, we reflect on what brought us all to AKF. Author Krakenoid (who can't access a computer this week, #prayforKrakenoid) asks you to share your stories of what made you "come to the light" and shed your fangirl/fanboy ways.

For me, it was the truth of Qri's nose mole. What made you come to the AKF light?

Or the breakup of OT9?

Or JYP here?

Whatever it was, on this glorious Christmas Day 2014, we want to hear your stories of kpop redemption and forgiveness. So let us share.

  1. For me it was reading a bunch of sulli_fag and Kpopalypse articles. They were like crack. It was like a breath of fresh air.

Of course that JYP picture is always welcome.

  3. After enduring the craziness of hoards of deranged fangirls and just finding AKF by chance.

The combination of irreverence, humor and good writing is quite unique in Kpop blogging.

  4. Kpopalypse and the fact that I didn't want to be lumped in the same category as those horrendous Exo-L type fans. Thanks AKFG for keeping it real

  5. Just discovered this blog about a couple of months ago when I tried to research about the corruption of the entertainment industry and somehow ended up here O__O. Thank you all for the humour & awesomeness so far! Merry Christmas! ^^

  6. Gee, I can't even remember, but I know I was searching for a site where I could get kpop related information for my then new addiction. And somebody mentioned AKFG, googled, read some stuff from Kpopalypse and I'm here to stay, mwhahahahhaaaa!

    1. I also hitched a ride here for more Kpopalypse stuff. I faintly remember that it was one of oppar's articles that I first read here... though I can't remember which one. Oh well, time to necro-read

  8. That kpop confessions tumblr blog thing.
Fangirls there kept on ranting about AKF. I checked it out and wasn't really interested at first.
It wasn't until the articles here regarding t-ara's scandal and everything about krystal and cao ni ma and bubble fap were published that I really got hooked

The articles have gotten better but I still fucking hate you (not because of your opinions, etc. You just rub me off the wrong way)

  10. KPopalypse's informative and hilarious posts about behind-the-scenes in the music industry got me hooked. The first one I've read was the one about how there's nothing "real" about KPop instrumentals, and from then on, I'm sold.

Nowadays, whenever I see Eunjung trapped between two lines of text, I know it's time to learn something new for the night. I basically get up and prepare a glass of hot chocolate, then come back to read for a good half-hour.

That being said, I also like how his interview with Cheonsa went.

  11. I'm an avid reader of this blog since the "anon era", good old times, those kilometric comment threads were priceless ! I don't remember how I ended up here, I was probably googling for "lovely cute Kim Jisook dildofucks her anus hole and pussy" or stuff like that, I Instantly became a fan of sulli_fag's writing and AKF MSpaintwork. We still have lots of great authors right now, such as The Soyeon Pack, Ajusshi, Kpopalypse and Zaku, AKF is still the only kpop blog I regularly check.

  12. My fav post was about the real struggles and hardships faced by wannabe Kpopers. Info and Background on the way the industry works was really good. Frankly speaking i only care to fully read Kpopalypse's posts. im more of a information guy, on the entire Kpop Industry, not really into posts dealing with individual idols i dont care about.

  13. Kpopalypse's posts gave me life. Also, this site taught me to stop being a butthurt fangirl, and I thank you all for that.

  14. The interesting mix of irreverence, eye candy and serious discourses on the inner workings/psychology of the k-pop industry/fandom. And also importantly, highlighting promising (aka HOT but undiscovered) female k-pop/c-pop/j-pop actors/idols/artists that I would have otherwise overlooked.

  15. I also use AKFG as a filter to weed out all the uninteresting k-pop news/developments since the news that you guys DO post are usually what I would be interested to read. Sites like allkpop spam too much rubbish for me to sift through.

  16. the hyogre bashing posts, bring them back

  17. When I realized my fan gifts to Jaehyo, which I carefully picked out based on his variety show and interview comments, AND sent to Korea at a higher cost than the present, were probably thrown away. Or worn by a staff member. Whatever, Block B gets brands like Thom Browne from their fans, so a Blame It On The Jungler organic cotton baseball tee (Jaehyo plays LOL and loves baseball) was pfft-worthy.

Plus, there was that weird realization that after all this, I'd still rather send Jaehyo an expensive present than buy one for my dad. So, yeah, Jaehyo gets fanmail now, and I keep my money.
