[MV Review] Nine Muses - News

Nine Mooses Muses makes a comeback after their earlier retro throwback, and while they still haven't entirely left Funky Town, it's enough of a departure to be actually listenable. Full review after the jump.



For this MV, Star Empire hired T-ara's usual director and his spastic seizure-inducing handiwork is all over this video too. Although not quite to the insanity level of T-ara's I Go Crazy Because of You, the rapid cutaways come fast and furious like a horny fanboy on his beloved noona's HD printouts. He also seems to have a penchant for bottom-up camera angles, one that is very much appreciated by fappers viewers.

Underboob and upskirts galore.

However, the mirror motif is a blatant ripoff of PoMinit's Mirror Mirror.

I see no difference.

And the whole MV takes the typical KPop formula of dancing in a box to a whole new level. Many shots are literally of the girls dancing or otherwise squirming inside a cool box.

Nine Mimes?

The song itself is rather solid, with some very overt 90s Eurodance influences. I will say that the chorus/hook/whatever the fuck it is grates my ears and nearly ruined the whole song for me. Not much Engrish to complain about. All in all, it's a big step above Figaro (which I felt was rather shitty) and No Playboy (need I say more?).

TL;DR: MV was IGCBOY and Mirror Mirror's rapebaby, song was good, chorus was utter shit.
