    I thought the dress is named cheong sam? I think it's a longer version of the dress that I'm saying.

      I believe cheongsam is just the Korean name for qipao. I don't know, if someone actually knows, feel free to correct me.

      Cheongsam is the cantonese word for the mandarin qipao

      The way they romanized it made me think it was a Korean name for qipao for some reason.
