I have been following Kpop as close as I can and still take the time to check out new groups, and so far this year Pristin is my favorite rookie group. I had no hopes for them since they are under Pledis after all. Can you blame you? They left After School for dead and gave up on Hello Venus just after a year, resulting in Fantagio taking full control of the group. However, third time is definitely the charm, and I just hope Pledis gives the group continual support instead of fucking the girls over.
I like "We Like," as it has a catchy hook that is still stuck in my head. When I take a break from studying for my CPA exams, this has been my go-to song for the past week. To me, this song seems like a mash of a Twice song and Red Velvet's Happiness with the way the girls sing some of the verses. Whoever Pledis has been using so far to compose for Pristin needs to stick with these girls. Both "Wee Woo" and "We Like" have been two of the songs I have listened to the most this year.
Another good reason to like Pristin is that seven of the nine girls look good. Kyla needs to lose weight and I can't recall the name of the other girl I'm not fond of, but her family must be rich because she doesn't have the looks of an idol.
