Which idol(s) do you think gets whored out the most? / Who whores them-self out the most?
I suppose what I mean is: who gets used a lot for publicity? You guys can respond in either a positive or negative way. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Dara has about a billion selcas of herself doing random things. BlackJacks love it, everyone else is thinking "wtf, please stop".
- IU, as Korea's little sister, essentially has been used on every show possible (but who can get enough of IU, really).
- JYP seems to want to get in on EVERYTHING. He even puts his name in his idols' songs.
- For a little while, Jo Kwon was on everything everywhere.
- And of course, the likes of SNSD and Wondergirls really are all over the place, whether it is on the radio, in commercials, on advertisements, in magazines, Korean music news, etc...
- Let us not forget about how After School and Super Junior like to make little sub-units to reel in more money. I mean fans.

ReplyDeleteBrown Eyed Girls' Gain was/is NegaNetworks whore for a while. They are preparing their comeback now, so you don't really see any of them, but a few months ago Gain's face was like fucking everywhere. I could've killed her.

Whenever there is some controversy, usually the idol says a small comment, either saying it was a misunderstanding or an apology, but no, JYJ have to pull out LONG ass explanations on how they are hurt, and just make themselves look like DUMBFUCKS.
Someone needs to tell junsu to stop tweeting "OH NO WHY WOULD YOU EXPRESS THANKS, THEY WERE OUR ENEMY, I SEE HOW IT IS" tweets and being a cunt and tell Jaejoong to stop ranting, because as an idol you need to keep your image, now, you have no image jaejoong, it has been shat on by your own arragonce and selfishness. "oh no saesang fans, stop stalking me gosh, my life has been so hard as it is"

She wasn't everywhere but at least she wasn't overworked and overexposed either, and I liked her music more at that time. Also, her "3 octaves" for 'Good Day' is a joke, 1 octave is 8 notes, IU only does 3 notes, which is from even being 1 octave.

ReplyDeleteIm one of those that agree, I followed IU so much during her Heroes day and looked up her acoustic covers (much nicer than most of the songs on her own albums). And then she started being everywhere being an MC and the final straw was probably Kiss & Cry. She was so horrible.

And @Anon 9:06, I completely agree with you. Super Junior has a couple great voices, but in terms of their image and especially their songs, they are horrible. The moment I got out of Kpop several years ago was when Super Junior and SNSD came out. I remember thinking SJ was hard to watch and listen back then and still think the same now.

She's like the most popular thing CUBE has and 4minute would be shit without her constant whoring for attention. She's had TWO FUCKING SOLO SINGLES/MINI ALBUMS. The other members should just be there for the ride. Plus her outfits and dances are practically tailor made for publicity (whether good or bad).

ReplyDeleteI'm not even a JYP-fan, but seriously, I hate when I see people say things like this. Why? Because it's about labeling your product which is why they say JYP in it. Their company is call JYPE, so they're labeling the company's name on it only.
Am I the only one thinking shinee's onew? He's been like everywhere and I love the boy but sometimes its painful to watch him because he seems to always like attention and he never really comes off as funny on variety shows tbh and yet sm insists on plastering his face on almost every show possible.
