A Pink is finally back, but in the land of jizzing tentacles and not in the land of kimchi farts. While normally I'm just happy that A Pink is back, I'm even more happy knowing that a lot of you fuckers hate A Pink. A Pink has been my favorite group since I got into Kpop, but knowing how much people hate them just makes it more enjoyable to follow the group.
When I first watched the MV, I was concerned knowing that this was a Japanese MV. Seeing that 73.45% of the weird pornos I have seen have come from Japan, and having no real exposure to Japanese entertainment outside of that, I just expected something a lot weirder. Luckily the girls were out in nature, so I didn't have to worry about seeing the girls being raped while riding the subway. Then it dawned on me that the tentacle monsters would be out in nature, but luckily the girls were given fairy powers. No, I don't mean lesbian powers where the girls peg each other and squirt everywhere. I mean the mythical creature. I'm sure the fairies would have some magic to ward off tentacle monsters, so we are good. We can enjoy a normal MV.
Damn do the members look good. Normally I'd just say I'd let Hayoung drench me in her piss, but all of the members look equally good in this MV, so it requires more viewings for all of the members. I'm glad I could watch the girls do normal things instead of trying to avoid samurai tentacle monsters bukkake-ing on the girls.
With "Brand New Days", A Pink keeps their signature while increasing the beat a little bit and adding a more electronic sound. A Pink really hasn't had a song with a dancey-vibe since "Hush" came out four years ago, and it was overdue. A Pink's latest Korean title tracks have had some melancholic traces in them, so it is nice to have a more upbeat song coming from the group.
Long live the A Pink goddesses.
Eunji sounds like Taeyeon in this song.
ReplyDeleteYou'll take that back or I'll have some SNSD fans fuck your face up.
DeleteThey bouth sound equally annoying and their voices make my ears bleed - was what i was trying to say...
DeleteMaybe if they were in a JAV, they would actually spark some interest in me.
ReplyDeletePretty damn decent song, considering it's Apink. Such a such shame they plummeted in song quality after that transvestite left
ReplyDeleteVideo seems like a complete ripoff of Oh My Girl's Closer - which was an excellent video by the way and set a very high bar for any ethereal type vid concepts. That and Ladies Code Galaxy which was heavy on symbolism with a catchy Supreme Beings of Leisure type sound and it just plain worked for their comeback. This Apink thing will likely get more play compared to OMG and LC and it shouldn't. Song was mixed well but feels like a lame and tame b-side, vid is ok but not great when compared to OMG's Closer....
ReplyDeleteI don't see it as a ripoff. Inspired, maybe, but gardens aren't exactly a reach when you want a pretty and feminine setting to match your members and concept. "Closer" had a far more somber atmosphere and the dance set looked like an abandoned palace overrun with greenery rather than a bright, domesticated garden.
DeleteOn that note, I wouldn't think of comparing "Brand New Days" to "Closer" or "Galaxy" since those are on another tier of awesome, and I don't think I'll listen to this more than a few times. For someone who doesn't like half of their title tracks, it's one of the /better/ Apink songs, but not really memorable compared to their earlier ones. Then again, it's for Japanese promotions, and those are more often a miss than a hit for me.

DeleteIt is a better song than Remember and they all look good, so a worthwhile comeback from Apink.
ReplyDeleteI want to bust a nut in Eunji's tight ass.
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't you point out the tree's vagina. It couldn't be more obvious.
ReplyDeleteThe song is good. That garden is quite beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI don't care what anyone says, I fucking love magical gardens. The flowers and fairy dust and everything. This MV is right up there with Oh My Girl's "Closer" in how visually appealing it is, and that's not accounting for the members. Bomi and Hayoung look the best in my opinion, but they all shine here.
ReplyDeleteNo need to worry about me hating Apink anymore btw. Mamamoo have dethroned them as the worst girl group to ever blemish K-pop. At least Apink was fun to hate.
ReplyDeleteWere you dropped on your head recently? Mamamoo is LIFE
DeleteHow could you possibly hate Mamamoo?
DeletePersonally, girl groups are hit or misses with me. But every time I have looked a one of Apink's songs I've enjoyed them. I agree with the author. It's fun to love them and praise them when people hate them so much. If you hate them so much, why even bother reading, yet alone commenting, on this article.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more.
DeleteI found this both mildly disappointing and incredibly watchable at the same time. The video seems a bit cheap and the song unremarkable. But the members are so damn charming, it's hard not to enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why but I love almost all of Apink's songs. Also, they're fun to watch and pretty much entertaining. It's just a matter of taste. Oh, and I hope they will be coming back with some song like their Pink Memory's I Do. It definitely fits their vocals and dance.
