In the midst of the MAMA fever, this happened.
Warning: not suitable for pregnant women, the elderly, or those with heart problems.
So yeah. The girl is a rookie teen actress on the local Singapore Chinese television network. Just a word on the Singapore local entertainment industry, no matter how "famous" you seem to be around here, regardless of whether you have your own fan club or not, you're pretty much a nobody, unless you're one of the lucky few who managed to bag an award overseas (that's if you had the chance to work with a foreign director), or break an award for the longest rice roll or something.
In truth, the only reason why she appears to have so many fans is because she starred in a highly overrated drama serial with allegedly "hunky" male co-stars who all compare their over-hyped popularity to that of K-pop stars. Seriously.
And so, equally disillusioned by their belief that "we can be liek them kpop starz liek super junior and gg!!111one!one" they decide to cover K-pop songs as part of their grand scheme of world domination (and failing terribly at it).
Back to the poor girl. Her outfit looks like a bad knockoff of SNSD's winter outfit which they've worn in several performances, and the jacket does no justice whatsoever to her underdeveloped bosom. Heck, the show looks like a cheap knockoff itself, copying them music shows, when in fact, it's a charity show with elderly people making up a significant portion of the audience.
The Singapore SONES' reactions were hilarious.
A surprisingly large number said: "don't mean offence but i can sing better than you. true facts"
"please stick to acting. this is an insult to k-pop and snsd."
"she said on her blog that she's professionally vocal and dance trained. obviously it's clear she wasn't."
Rrrrright.
My fellow citizens, I know how much you adore and love K-pop but this....is a bit too much.
Hey, at least she is singing live without playback^^
ReplyDeleteSingapore represent!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I appreciate her effort, but it's a bit too much to make her do this.
ReplyDeleteyou call that effort?
ReplyDeleteterrible vegetable.
ReplyDeleteyou sound like quite the fangirl yourself.
ReplyDeleteshe can sing just as good as a kpop singer, not saying much like
ReplyDeleteshe can fill in as half the members of snsd, hell she would make the perfect replacement for hyeyeon, at least she looks good compared to that orge and can sing better
ReplyDeleteI thought you were from Iceland lol. Where in the fuck is Singapore? Is that like a suburb of Seoul?
ReplyDeleteI'm Singaporean too and this is just...wow. In a bad way. Those bloody Mediacorp artistes really need to get their heads out of the clouds. They always think they're some big deal.
ReplyDeleteThey're not.
@Anon4.03 Singapore's in Asia, and it's an independent state =.=
^ all the fucking Singaporeans start coming out of the woodwork here.
ReplyDeleteLOOK AT ME IM A FUCKING SINGAPOREAN

chinkman represent here
ReplyDeletewe ownz u singaporean fags
Is that flawless meisa kuroki as the background of a kpop site? I don't follow jpop really tbh, but girl is damn gorgeous and her no singing ass puts out some damn good songs tbh.
ReplyDeleteDamn...so bad....
ReplyDeletebut seriously man. i'm shock at meisus being on this site lol. Kuroki meisa is so damn hot and i'm a straight girl...need to stick to model though tbh.
It sucks, but it's not like she is any worse than some singers in SNSD and KARA. I love Goo Hara, but I cannot hear shit from her....at least we can hear this girl. If she had the backtrack, it would be so much better. What I'm saying is, it's not an insult to kpop if they're just as bad. =)
ReplyDelete^It doesn't matter if she sucks as much as some individual singers in SNSD or KARA; if we compare the performances of both groups as a whole, then they're obviously superior to her mediocre performance.
ReplyDeleteShe sings better than some of the K-Pop unnirs and opparz.
ReplyDeleteShe sang 2 songs that took 14 people to sing!!! (OK Hara and most of SNSD don't really have significant parts)
ReplyDeleteGood effort, but still half-assed.
neat! new meisa background! time to fap in the new year!
ReplyDeletemartian represents mmk
ReplyDeletegirl can't dance :-s it looks so painful and embarrassing. She was like half-ass dancing
ReplyDeleteThen come to Indonesia, and you'll find Cherry Belle and another million Indonesians brainless trolls on Kpop.
ReplyDeleteat least she seemed happy the whole time
ReplyDeleteit makes you appreciate the training kpop idols go through, this girl probably practiced a lot, but she doesn't have 3-5 years of vocal and dance background obviously
^
ReplyDeleteTo be fair SMASH did cause a minor Twitter trend when Good Charlotte "covered" them. oh Ipop, never fails to amuse. Don't stop trolling.
This is how some kpop artists really sound like. Just the kpop industry covers it up well.
ReplyDeleteShe sounds better than most of Kara. But gosh was that Boys performance dreadful.
ReplyDeleteShe sounds better than some korean idols, including some of the SNSD members.
ReplyDeleteThey should just kick Yoona and Yuri out of SNSD and replace them with this girl. At least she can speak English and sing better too.
ReplyDeleteTROLOLOL
> be singaporean
ReplyDelete> fapping to some random singaporean mv
> suddenly
> THIS VIDEO HAS BEEN BLOCKED IN YOUR COUNTRY ON COPYRIGHT GROUNDS...SM ENT
> mfw
I'm sorry. Why didn't she sing The Boys in English? She would have done a better job.. I swear Lol.
ReplyDeleteShe can sing, she can even sing better then some girls in Kpop. It's just that she sings all parts and dance at the same time without backgroundvoices. I lolled so hard at the old women in the front who were like "SHIT what's going to happen?"
ReplyDeleteWOW SHE GOT THE MEMO THAT BEING A COCK SUCKER HELPS! YEAH SNSD FOR TEACHING YOUNG GIRLS THAT FACT!
ReplyDeleteque mierda pagina
ReplyDeleteShe actually didn't get out of breath once which is good. She was just robotic and sooo flaaattt.
ReplyDelete
