Really, SME? I'm seriously fucking pissed off. I mean, that's a pretty cool box but it is a box nonetheless. This was their last album and you couldn't do any more than this for their music video? This is me giving you a sincere fuck you.
I like the choreography, minus the hand dance. It looks more awkward than Miss A's fapping dance and it's not the type of dance move that's easy to keep in sync. You can see at 4:06 that they can't keep it together. This is what they get for preparing all of the choreography and shooting the music video in a month. I really like most of it though. Each member of Super Junior added their own dance to the choreography, apparently. It looks like some of them took choreography from their old dances. Maybe it was intentional, since it's their last. The actual dance break could have been so much better although it's probably the best part of the music video.
The second teaser was such a lie. SME released the first teaser and it was just like every other music video Super Junior has ever done. Then they released the second teaser and I was really excited because I was thinking it was their way of saying "lol jk we're not doing the same thing again we're doing something cool" but boy was I wrong.
Their clothing, along with some of the dance moves and the lighting, make them look like they're in a gay night club. Would have been worse if they had worn the outfits from the teasers, though.
Siwon looks like an Asian version of John Travolta from Grease. Kyuhyun looks the same as always but his voice is sex. Leeteuk is pretty sexy for an old man, minus that weird hairdo. Shindong looks like a gay mafia leader and I don't know why. Heechul looks like... Heechul. Yesung should wear eyeliner more often. Ryeowook's red hair is beautiful. Sungmin is still trying really hard to look sexy but I just wanna pinch his cheeks. Eunhyuk's outfit with the red jacket is my favorite. Donghae looks flawless in everything.
As a Super Junior fan of almost six years, I am disappoint. It's like Bonamana mixed with Sorry, Sorry but with a little bit of color. They made the teaser seem like it would be COMPLETELY different with lots of color and new things but it's exactly the same. Sad fangirl is sad. Judge me.
I hope the repackaged MV is much better. Although I have to say.... they all look fucking sexy as hell. This blog has too much fapping to boobs. Let me have my moment and say that they look fine as hell in this music video. Well, most of them. You're crazy if you don't think Donghae is handsome as fuck and Eunhyuk's "dance" line gives me a lady boner.
And has anyone else noticed that SME likes to put those little stomping noises in their music videos? In Perfection, Hot Summer, now this... what is that?

Im not being a hater but thats my unfortunate opinion. I think I actually like the song less now... Strange considering I wasnt really feeling it in the first place.

ReplyDeleteAll that aside, though, I was quite disappointed by Mr Simple as a track and as an album at first [rock is my preferred genre of music so I don't generally like dance songs], but somehow it has these super motherfucking catchy tracks that just stick in your head all day and I've heard them like 50000 times in the past two days. Also, Super Junior is my bias group partially because these boys know how to put on a motherfucking SHOW, and I can't wait for it.

And the lyrics are... yeah. But that's expected of kpop.
I think people would like this song more if we hadn't heard it from Suju plenty of times before.

ReplyDeleteI was majorly upset by this video. It's so obvious that it's just a mash-up of Sorry, Sorry and Bonamana in a vented white onion shaped dome instead of a non-vented white box.
Most of the dance formations were the same as before, nothing new. The first dance they did was that stupid head jiggling move when Kyuhyun was singing in Bonamana. I'm just sitting there like really? These were the dances they made up? Yeah sure, unless by made-up you mean just took from other dances. There was also way to much Heechul and Leeteuk. I know they are going to the army soon, but those two are shoved down ELF AND everyone else face ALL THE TIME! Added to the fact that Heechul seems like a total ass 24/7, it really mad me made that Donghae and Sungmin got cut so he could wave his big nose in-front of the camera. Ryeowook did great. he honestly made this worth watching(surprisingly) and Heechul needs to stop doing that face wipe move...it was old in Sorry, Sorry and it's in the grave now.
why the hell is Heechul wearing sunglasses throughout the entire MV? I'm pretty sure he was piss drunk that day or was totally hungover that he had to cover his eyes. Also, his dancing was crap.

ReplyDeleteI'm an honest ELF and I found this disappointing for a song/MV. They could've done much better. Hell, I had high expectations from them and thought of it as a surprising, well-thought out and appealing comeback that would blow me away, but......it is stuck in my head, goddammit!
Btw. Ryeowook caught my eye, fortunately :D He's really cute with that hair and his outfits are pretty cute. His alright~ alright!~ makes me cringe (in a good way!) :3

Well, I'm a new ELF so I wasn't there to see Sorry Sorry or Bonamana promotions so maybe I have a different perspective since I heard Mr Simple before Bonamana AND Sorry Sorry. Anyway I LOVED Heechul in this. TO answer the question "How can Heechul dance like that and people call him 'cool'?" He's F**KING KIM HEECHUL~ That's how. I love his nonchalant I-Don't-Give-A-Damn attitude~ It gives him edge and something different. Not to mention that he's not the best at dancing so give him a break, PLUS the guy probably had the whole army thing on his mind at this time so it's understandable that his mind was somewhere else. Still he looks DAMN sexy like that <3 I'm sick of fans hating on him and calling him lazy and a douche. If you don't have something nice to say - take it somewhere else. :)
