[MV Review] D-Unit - I'm Missing You

lol. I never imagined Boram trying to look badass at any point in her life, but now I don't have to since her sister is also a midget that looks just like her. On the other hand, Wooram is more useful in this one song than Boram has been in the past three years. Though, Boram is in the better position. She rode to fame by doing nothing but smoking weed and allowing Cyclops and Eunjung to get T-ara popular. On the other hand, Wooram's group will be lucky to last a year and gain any sort of popularity.

As for the song itself, I didn't like it. From what I've read, it was produced by some dude named Kush, who used to be a composer for YG. Well, that explains a lot. The song was a mess. It was one of those songs where the composer tried to do too much but failed at just about everything. It sounds like many songs mixed into one, and the transitions from the slow to the faster parts are jarring. The transitions just happen out of nowhere.

The talent is there. For an idol group, I'm impressed. I figured Wooram would be super fucking useless, but surprisingly she holds her own. The other two members are good for what roles they have. This may be a group to look forward to, as long as they get different producers to work on their music. This isn't a visually appealing group, so they'll need better songs to gain some fans.

  1. It was more than a mess - it was one hell of a clusterfuck that left the impression of 'WTF did I just listen to?'

On the other hand - Wooram actually looks like an ogre compared to Boram. Well, at least in predebut anyway. Though I'd imagine Wooram can pull off a far better troll face.

^ Ok this is too much. It reminds me of what 2NE1's I Love You was all about--cluttered, but not REALLY a disaster.

  2. I.. i.. I'm enjoying their stuff. I think this group has lots of potential! Just stay away from ahjusshi Will.i.am & Jeremy Scott.

Wooram, i think she is cute like her sister. It would be great to have sex with the two sisters at the same time.

  3. I normally don't even give kpop rookies a shot, but I really like this debut album.

  6. ??? The song is fucking awesome. Listen to the dance version, it's mostly the mv that's distracting. When I saw the mv first I was like meh, but then my sister watched the dance version and I glanced over and after a while I realized I really digged the song and Woorams voice.

She's even kinda hot, says I, one of the worlds biggest Boram haters

Seriously, give the song anther shot, it's great

    1. I listened to it twice just before I wrote the review lol. The song had potential, but those random tempo changes drove me nuts.

    2. Don't know what is your definition of tempo but... the tempo was pretty constant throughout the whole song...

  10. Tell me all about how this song doesn't suck.

Producers are so lazy these days. Not one single "idea" in this song. It is played safe, and that is a bad move, when you're handling debuting groups.

    This is me being nice.

    1. Playing safe would be some 2ne1 copy, and obviously this isn't that when 2NE1 are the only kpop group that I don't like, yet I like thissong so much more than 2NE1's shit.

There are alot of different vocal parts that are powerful and differentiate from the norm

    2. I disagree. I thought 2ne1 the instant the first verse rolled around. Many of the "pop-chords" within the voice-directing, so I don't know where you're coming from with "vocal parts differentiating from the norm".

      Your word against mine :/

I'm gonna stop myself, before I delve into stock synths, lazy voice-modding, etc.

  13. Shut the hell up, this is amazing period. Music is about reacting and connecting to a song, if you don't like the song then you don't have good ears haha.

Listen to it again in your free time and react to the melody, the MUSIC instead of thinking about anyone else.

    ^^
