This is the important part. More after the break. |
You see that? You know what that is? It's a beautiful thing. It's a lovely woman with a lovely body. That's all. She's not doing anything exceptionally sexual, and certainly not compared to what all the top girl groups are doing with their asses, but KBS decided that move had to go and made them change it to this.
Now, between these two moves, there is little difference aside from the fact that in the former her boobs are bouncing out front. Her completely covered boobs, mind you. Yes, she has a slight movement of undress, but it is only her jacket, and this is nothing compared to the highly sexual flashing of the inner thighs that Girl's Day is doing right now uninhibited. So basically, Serri gets her choreo changed because she is a woman with a desirable womanly body.
You can bet your ass that if Taeyang wanted to have a special stage involving him shirtless and flexing his muscles in crotch-flattering pants humping the floor they would allow it. They made Serri change her part (which she likes, by the way, if you watch her in the fancam) simply because she is a woman and KBS is afraid of that OR of the jealous bitches who call them up to complain because their tits aren't as nice as Serri's.
This reminds me of when Dal Shabet had to change their Be Ambitious outfits to regular/casual clothes, It was retarded since they show the same amount of skin both, Maybe the outfit change a little less.
ReplyDeletewah wah wah you whine like a baby... a big baby..
ReplyDeleteLame puns aside tho isn't the choreo different since she's holding a mic?
We'll find out in a few hours on Music Core!
DeleteSeriously tho KBS censors a lot of routines.
Face mics and still just did a twirl on Music Core. Confirmed censorship!
DeleteThere's still a lot of wiggle and jiggle, regardless of the move change. And she still looks really hot, regardless of the move change.
ReplyDeleteSerri is becoming the only thing about Dal Shabet that I care about anymore. Their last two comebacks were... no.
Woohee is super hot tho.
DeleteI don't know why but I seem to have convinced myself that Woohee is infested with STD's and no matter what she does or wears nothing will change my mind lol.
DeleteIf Serri's nose wasn't so mutilated a lot of people would probably worship her more, myself included xD
I dunno why but nobody else in Dal Shabet appeals to me except Serri. Viki did but God knows she flew that coop right quick. Cutesy concepts are pretty dumb but I really enjoyed Dal Shabet's songs and MVs up until "Look at my cameltoe oppa"
DeleteSerri's nose does look like someone held it in a nipple clamp too long, though. I wonder if it's difficult for her to breathe through it? Doesn't look like there's much space for air.
I never put much attention to serri's nose im too busy over her tits but I when back in my dalshabet video catalog she did some work on her nose but her nose was already kind of fuck up but it was prettier back then
DeleteIt's a Korean thing I think. The top half of a woman's body must be completely covered, while the bottom half can be exposed.
ReplyDelete"There aren’t a lot of low cut tops and not a lot of cleavage being shown. Bare shoulders aren’t seen often (but it’s getting more popular, noticeably in the three years that we’ve been here) and there aren’t a lot of low-cut backs either. The policy almost seems to be “cover the tops, bottoms be damned!”" source from the expert ex-pats, Eat Your Kimchi (LOL) http://www.eatyourkimchi.com/modesty-in-korean-fashion/
Basically, in Korea, short skirts + revealing top = Slut. Revealing top + Long Skirt= Slut. Swimsuit + Jacket= Slut. Showing Cleavage= Slut. Diving Suit= Acceptable. Men wearing bareback clothes= Okay. Women wearing bareback= Slut. Done. Korea has this double standard, where they think it's degrading for women to reveal their bodies. So, may as well have the women walking about like Arab ladies, where every part of the body is covered except the eyes.
DeleteSo basically, Korea is the land of the underboob? It must be heavenly~
DeleteI remembered I had an argument with a fangirl, who was slut shaming Dal Shabet and Girl's Day for their sexy concepts. When I asked her why males can show their bodies and women can't, this was her response: "Males are different from females". Oh, and her reasoning for slut shaming them was this: "They are a negative influence to children". And I was like: "Girl, you're 14 years old, looking at pictures of semi nude men. I don't think that you're in a position to talk about idols being revealing and being a negative influence on kids". She deleted her comment after that.
ReplyDeleteNiiiceee
DeleteI was watching AOA's new song and happened to look at the comments, One fangirl was like "Sexy concepts are bad for kpop" and she had a shirtless guy as her profile picture, You can see because It was a top comment.
DeleteWhat surprises me is that there are people stupid enough to go along with her hypocritical actions and vote her comment up.
Delete^ That's another account of mine. Forgot to sign out earlier, but, you get the message.
DeleteDamn, I really liked all of the jiggles in this choreography, and now they have to take that away...
ReplyDeleteI am actually surprise that AOA's choreography, which starts with one of the members laying on the floor touching herself hasn't been censored. I am glad but still don't get on what grounds to they decide what to censor.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmzLAzGKqTQ
ReplyDeletetenuous? very much so.
Yeah except if you actually knew your shit you'd know:
Delete1) They started censoring more the greater the hallyu got
2) Every group gets away with a performance before being censored
Serri is looking a lot like yoonjo in those gifs.
ReplyDeleteAMEN.
ReplyDeleteJust came across a whole rant at a K-Pop/J-Pop music blog with the same ol' same ol' anytime female groups start trending on sexy concepts. The typical "this is not K-Pop" etc. when on first place K-Pop added some of the sexyness as Western Countries usually understand, and in the last 7 years, at least, female groups have gone this route every 6 months or so. I am sad to see censore always goes hard on female, but Korean censorship goes beyond looks and dances, they also go for lyrics. It's painful to see female get theirs routines or wardrobe modified while male can rip their shirts off. We've done this argument before in K-Pop, but anytime that revives, public opinion seems to have gone two steps backwards and feel more like slut shaming hard and demanding its not appropiate. Why we don't see the same on male sexy concepts? I personally love sexy concepts for female groups, sensua dances and that they can pull those off not looking awkward. I also love cuteness, but there should be room for everything.
Also, I agree on the confusing criteria the censors have, sometimes the ban certain things but allow others that could also be taken as inapproiate from a puritane point of view.
