What do the lyrics of BEG's new song even mean?

Brown Eyed Girls recently came back after a two year break with "Brave New World". The first time I heard the song, I was like 'what the actual fuck is this shit'. It sounded like one of those many disjointed messes in Kpop that just make you wanna scrunch your face up in disgust. The second time I heard it though, it wasn't as bad, and the third, I fell in love. This song is so fucking good. Although I gotta say I am disappointed with the Miryo rap break. I think it started out okay but halfway through her flow disappeared into thin air. Nonetheless, I kept replaying this song, and I'm not the type of person to replay songs so that's saying something.

The classiest and sexiest post that ever was both classy and sexy

I've recently written blogs about k-pop's "sexy concepts" and also about "cute concepts", and the non-existent differences between them, because everybody is so fucking fascinated by these topics.  Now I've been alerted to a new contender on the k-pop scene: "classy sexy" concepts.

What the fuck even is "classy sexy"?  Is it even a real thing?  Does it exist in k-pop?  Does anybody care?  Well, I care, because the word "sexy" is in there, so therefore time to investigate!

Brown Eyed Girls Plagiarize Themselves Consistently

Have you ever just sat there and watched all of the Brown Eyed Girls' dance versions of their music videos back to back because you find them so sexy? (totally not because you are trying to learn their seductive dance moves to bring to the club or anything)

No?

Just me?

Okay well, you all knew I was super awkward from the beginning so. This should not surprise you.

Anyways.

Well, I noticed something relatively consistent in each music video. I like to find anomalies in my daily life. So, this is just one of those things I like to point out.

The music videos in question are as follows:

Abracadabra

Sign

Kill Bill

The Shure Super 55 microphone test - does your bias fail it? Probably.

If you casually browse any forum devoted to k-pop, you'll quickly see that there's a lot of nonsense going around the place about the relative talents of vocalists, as if vocal talent is a criteria that actually means something in this style.  I mean, come on people, since when was vocal talent suddenly a requirement to make production-line pop music?  I must have missed the latest memo that was circulated on that topic, because it seems that there's tons of fans fighting over who can sing better and who is the most knowledgeable and talented musically, versus who is just a nugu to music that is just being told what to say, what to play, how to stand, where to go, and is the musical equivalent of the "airhead" reporter on Broadcast News (decent film from the 80s, worth a look) who just reads lines from cue and smiles and doesn't know what the fuck he's actually on about or what any of the news stories really mean. Of course, most k-pop fans believe that their bias COULD NEVER BE LIKE THAT and is THE BEST EVAAAR AND KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT MUSIC, so I thought that even though I personally have no vested interest in this topic whatsoever, it would be interesting to devise a test to set the record straight and see how much they really do know.  Even better, I thought, if this test didn't require any knowledge of actual music production or vocal skill on the part of  the tester or even any listening to the songs and anybody with access to a computer could do it in an instant.

I have devised just such a test, and I'm going to break it down for you in a nice long tl;dr post only because I know you're all into that sort of thing here at AKFG.  Details after the jump.
