Stupid Things Fangirls Utter 2

Something I absolutely hate that fangirls do:

When fans say:
"OMO~ WHEN MY OPPA DID <that smile / dance move / gesture / other cute and/or gay act>,
I    LITERALLY   DIED  !!!1!"

And so I want to respond:

* Note: This is a little something I started way back in December, 2011 (http://antikpopfangirl.blogspot.ca/2011/12/stupid-things-fangirls-utter.html) that I never followed up on. I have a few lined up now. So let's see how this weekly feature goes.

If anyone has choice comments that they want to share on "Stupid Things Fangirls Utter", please send them to zomg.oppa.sareanghae@gmail.com, or leave them in the comments below. Thanks!

  1. I just hope it literally happens so none of them would be left on the fez of the earth. But come to think of it, if they all perish, who to spazz over it online? :( AKFaG might be stifled

  7. The usage of literally you quoted from that fangirl is correct according to Merriam Webster.

    http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/literally

Famous writers like Dickens and F. Scott Fitzgerald have used the word literally to emphasize hyperbolic and figurative statements.

"‘Lift him out,’ said Squeers, after he had literally feasted his eyes in silence upon the culprit." (Charles Dickens, Nicholas Nickleby)

"He literally glowed." (F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby)

  8. When an idol (especially a female idol) saturates the media with a comprehensive list of their actions, international fangirls are quick to accuse them of being "overrated". Usually they mean "overexposed". On a related note, essentially every single idol could be accused of being overrated, since fans are quick to praise every single thing about them, so it is not a word I enjoy. You could say it's
    ( •_•)
    ( •_•)>⌐■-■
    (⌐■_■)
    overrated.
