BoA to finally make a comeback in Japan next year

Finally, but not in a "good" way. With 2009 being BoA's last year of major activity in Japan, it will have been a long ass time since she released music steadily over in the land of 897357375935756353535 idols in each group. However, instead of releasing a new song, she's coming back with a remake of Only One and The Shadow.

Sorry SNSD, I'll pass on seeing BoA looking like that again. Her makeup and her hair was atrocious during that promotion, her choreography was weak in Hurricane Venus compared to most of her songs. So no SNSD, I hope BoA doesn't follow your formula. BoA already translated enough songs between the two countries as it is.

In b4 "BoA iz oldz n dusnt sel 4 shit nemore." Yes, we get it. Everyone has their 'expiration date' for their peak popularity. I bet no one thought 10 years ago that Morning Musume would be relegated to what they are now, but shit happens. Getting that out of the way, I really enjoyed what BoA released in 2009/early 2010 in Japan before concentrating on American activities and finally making a comeback in Korea.

I'll be posting the songs BoA released in Japan in 2009/early 2010 in links so as to not Javascript/Flash rape anyone's browser. Her Identity album was the first album of hers that wasn't #1 on the Oricon and didn't even sell 100,000 records. However, it seems like BoA has an inverse relationship between popularity and quality of music in Japan. I enjoyed BoA's later albums in Japan much more than her early stuff when she was pretty popular.

    1. I honestly had that song on repeat for a whole year after I first listened to it.

  3. Hmm I hope she releases more of her old style music, like 'Valenti', 'Key of Heart', 'No. 1', those are like her best era. I even enjoyed her anime ost 'Beside you'. 'Only one' was the closest one to those

Not that I don't like her upbeat songs, 'Copy & paste' was good, but I prefer her old style of songs.

    1. So you want her to release music that sounds 15 years old?

    2. Well that would be impossible since people would frown over it and not like it. I personally would listen to it if it's good.

  4. She's just doing what she use to do when she first debuted in Japan... lol.

Anywho, I think it's funny when people talk about how 'old' BoA is. Ain't she like the same age as half the SJ members and the same age as JaeJoong? She just been singing since forever is why she seems old and since she just... kinda stopped after a while, it made her seem older. If she was able to pull a Namie... (she's been singing since '92 and still going hard)

    1. All the more reason why I think the name 'Super Senior' is best applied when it comes to SJ today.

  5. Off the topic but have you seen the new MV of Junsu? That is a shitstorm waiting to happen. Transcendental? Is that a new euphemism for coming out of the closet? LOL.
